The Story Behind the "Rocket Pack Raccoon"
I saw a cute automata piece on the internet called "migrating elephants" one day. It inspired me to think of a simailar theme for a piece that might be appropriate for the Canadian environment. I settled on a raccoon as it aligned with a local regional airline, Porter Airlines, who used a raccoon mascot in their advertising. It also occurred to me that this creation might actually prove to be a useful solution to what many in Toronto would call a pesky problem. If we could equip the local raccoons with jet packs we could export them south over Lake Ontario to Rochester, or north into cottage country!
