The Story of "Waiting at the Clinic"
This piece is a reconstruction of one of my previous projects called "The Waiting Room". I have many enquiries about making plans available for some of my more complex pieces. In order to do this I built this new version and video documented the process to go along with printed template to be available for interested parties. This is different from the original sine I try to make unique pieces available for collectors. "The Waiting Room" was part of the collection of Marvin's Marvellous Mechanical Museum in Farmington Hills Michigan.
I think medical waiting room can be an odd place full of interesting people, yet we often sit silently waiting our turn to get our chance to find some relief from a medical practitioner. This waiting room has a stern triage nurse, a lumber jack with a vexing head injury, which does not seem to distress him, a young school girl with what looks like the mumps, a very flushed and weary looking expectant mother having contractions, and lastly an anxious skeleton who seems to have been waiting a long time who tries to get the nurses attention.
