The Story of "A Sewer Rat Symphony" Automata.
It's hard imagine living in the dark and dinghy environment of a major city sewer, but it doesn't mean you can't have hopes and aspirations. This collection of rodents has risen above the norm and has formed their own small symphony orchestra. It is a chance for them to escape into a world of beautiful music and self determination. Their repertoire includes the Hungarian Ratsody, An Ode to a CheeseBlock by Ludvig von Rodent, Rubber Duckie, and many others. You can get to know the members by following the link to their profiles below.
They have toured extensively playing outfalls, culverts, underground chambers and sewer grates across the city. Donations at the performances often include bread crumbs, pizza crusts and choice pieces of rotting meat. They have produced no recordings date but are hopeful of doing so later this year. Curiously at this performance, something has caught the eye of two members of the violin section. They have observed that strange movements are occurring under the platform they play on. It is as if some machine is conducting the orchestra, not the maestro as they have been lead to believe. This is indeed a perplexing development for a free spirited rat to discover he might be an automata character! |
