As promised here is a photo of Carrie the executioner and her victim that is part of my latest project. Now the job is to fit the mechanism that makes her and the barnyard work.
Off the the scroll saw!
Carrie gets a little closer to completion. She has her face painted and some parts of her body. The poor victim is yet to be completed. Anyway just a quick visual update. Should have completed photos of the characters soon.
Carrie the grim reaper of everything chicken is getting roughed in. She has a knotted kerchief on her head and a prominent wart on her nose. Her look is enough to make the bravest chicken quiver in fear. Her chopping block will rest between her knees. Her arms have yet to be shaped. Carrie is named after Carrie Nation the American axe wielding suffragette from the turn of the century.
The chickens and the lone rooster received some base paint today. Right now they are legless because the pivot mechanisms are not completed. When the pins are in there will be touch up paint added to hide the ends of the pins.
Here's Sultan the rooster with one of the members of his harem. He has a vested interest in keeping track of his girls. He certainly would be flattered if they were losing their heads over him!
