Received a great Email this weekend from Micheal Prins, of Spring Lake Michigan, who had purchased on the the "Raving Fan" patterns. He sent along some kind words with a photo of the Raving Fan he has made! Great job Micheal! May he be an inspiration to others to give it a try! I'll be adding Micheal' s Hope College fan to my website.
Here is his creation.

I have just signed up for a display at he Ontario Wood Carvers Association show "Magic in Wood" show this fall again. The show is on October 15th and 16th at he Pickering Recreation Centre. If you hang out in the GTA, we'd love to see you there to talk automata!
Here is a link to their site. OWCA - "Magic inWood" Hopefully if you are a frequent visitor you have noticed things look a little different this visit. Mostly the same content with a new look. If you find anything I have overlooked, like a link that doesn't work, drop me a line and I'll fix it. I don't really like visitors finding my goofs, but I have gotten a bleary-eyed sitting in front of the computer screen! Anyway I hope you like the new site.
Al Time to freshen up the website a little. Don't be surprised if you log on and it is a little different. Hopefully I will not screw up the reload and things won't look in a state of disarray.
The changes will move the site focus toward automata although links to the South Bay railroad will still be there. It will also make it easier for me to update things in the future. Al Check out the story and photos now available through the Automata Gallery for the "Who Slew the Chicken" automata!
The police station is taking shape. A few paint touch ups, a ceiling to add, some finish varnish and some fastening to be done. After than I have chicken "tuning" to do. Getting closer, the end is in sight and I'll be glad it is finished!
