As it sits now, I intend to display at the OWCA "Magic in Wood" show in Pickering Ontario, on October 17 and 18. The show runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm both days. If you are in attendance drop by and say hello.
It has been some time since my last blog. Why to renovation projects always become greater than planned. You would think that i'd seen enough reno shows on TV to know that things can drag out! Anyway I'm back at he computer and blogging again, but not for the right reasons. The reno is not completely finished, close but not done. So why I am here then you ask?
It seems that have suffered a back injury from who-knows-doing-what and I am forced off the worksite, and even my feet for bit. So here I sit in front of my computer longing to be active again.
The good news is that I can get back to my automata designs!
I did manage to squeak in some time to attend the Kawartha Carving competition in September in Bobcaygeon, Ontario and chat with members of the woodworking community. It was particularly enjoyable to have a few come by who have been inspired to take up automata projects of their own, in particular Jim who travelled up from Montreal.
I'ii post a photo when travel back north and download my camera.
Automata is a creative blend of my life interests , engineering, art and woodworking.
