Pj and I had a great day in Belleville last Saturday at the Quinte Carving Show. Lots of beautiful carvings, carving club members, and carving enthusiasts to entertain anyone. The automata display is always popular since most carvers at the show do static carving and it's fascinating for many to see things move. Many ask, "How do you have the patience to do it?" to which I respond, How do you have the patience to carve that!" Honestly some of the bird carvings appear as if they might get up and walk away at any moment.
Anyway thanks to all the folks who stopped in for a chat, and especially those who had kind words about my work. I only took a small collection of recent projects to show this trip. Here's a couple of photos of our display.
Automata is a creative blend of my life interests , engineering, art and woodworking.
