Being Patient in Automata
Like carving caricatures, every automata person begins as a rough cutout. The difference from carving caricatures is that the cutouts are usually made from multiple pieces since there components will be made to move after shaping. Here is a look at the the patient in the automata project I am currently working on. He is seen here, headless and footless, in his rough state reclined on the beginning of a dentist's chair. Hopefully his arms and legs will flail franticly when finished they are all separate pieces to be shaped.
