Cutting Automata Cams
Spent some time this morning cutting the remaining cams for the "Waiting Room" automata. As you can see I cut the cams from templates generated on my CAD system. Each cam is broken down into ten degree increments so the profiles can be drawn accurately to make the appropriate movement. A little trick I have found is to print the patterns in red so it is easier to see the cut lines when cutting on the scroll saw. Somehow the black lines seemed to disappear into the black scroll saw blade.

I appreciate your methodical approach to the Cam design for Automata development. Great work!

Methodical yes, but I still make the occasion one in the reverse of what I wanted! The trick is to make sure to test them all before permanent glue is applied. Thanks for the kind words.
